Harmony Bites is a nonprofit organization that combats food insecurity in communities around Southern California through food distributions events and building partnerships with organizations that give and receive food so that together we can maximize our reach.

Established in 2020, we have quickly built up our program for free food distribution in Los Angeles.  Currently, we are also building our social entrepreneur program, providing individuals with a pathway to running their own business.

Harmony Bites was established with the goal of long-term impact in the lives of the people in our communities, especially those individuals and families in under-resourced areas.  

• Through our food distribution program, we focus on the immediate problem of food insecurity by alleviating the stress of worry about where the next meal will come from. We work with other local food pantries to maximize the impact of the food we receive from generous donors; this allows families and individuals to focus on other aspects of their lives, and other ways in which they can improve their situation.

• Next, we are developing a social entrepreneurship program that will provide a path to skill development and equip candidates with the knowledge to manage and operate a business.  Our goal is to empower individuals to become leaders and provide others with the same opportunities Harmony Bites has been so blessed as to afford them.
